The Brighton Jazz Rooms, is a legendary club session that needs no introduction. Its unique sound, vibe and attitude have made it one of the longest running sessions on the planet. From its South coast base in the UK it has spread its musical message far and wide.

With DJ Russ Dewbury at the helm, the Jazz Rooms opened its doors in Feb 1987 and went on to hold residencies at 5 different Brighton venues, most notably the Jazz Place, Ship Street.

Dewbury has since taken the Jazz Rooms branding worldwide with successful residencies across the globe, most recently in Australia and the Far East.

Returning to Brighton in 2011 Russ held two storming nights @ Komedia which has led onto an exciting opportunity to return weekly to our spiritual home at the newly revamped Jazz Place.

Russ and the Brighton Jazz Rooms crew celebrate 25 years of dance floor action in 2012 and Dewbury will draw on his extensive collection of black music across the board, to provide a weekly incomparable feel good mix of Funk, Soul, Afro Latin, Hip Hop and House, Together with top live and DJ guests this is going to be your new Brighton Saturday night musical sanctuary.

Beyond trends, beyond purism, A Night at the Jazz Rooms lives on in 2012 and is guaranteed to be a magnet for dancers and anyone who loves to have good old-fashioned fun!

Russ Dewbury will be presenting “Jazz Rooms Sunday Social” weekly radio show on Sunday’s 2 - 4pm on Brighton’s Juice 107.2 from this Sunday 29th January 2012.
